While in Saratoga for a concert at Skidmore College, Chris stopped into the shop for a quick repair.
I was called on for a last minute repair session just minutes before Ian Anderson, of Jethro Tull, was due on stage. After a fantastic concert, Ian was kind enough to donate an autographed flute to Operation Santa Clause, an organization which provides children with items during the Christmas holidays each year.

Bill Cole's son, Billy with Garth Hudson's bass sax. Bill repaded this horn about ten years ago and it recently needed a little touch up. He used this on the The Band's "High on the Hog" Album. It was previously owned by a great bass sax player from the 40's, named Adrian Rolini. If only saxes could talk....

Capital Area Flute Club members look on as Bill Cole demonstrates flute repair and maintenance during a seminar held on Saturday, January 20th, 2007.
Tips on diagnostic skills and minor repair were well received and all had a great time (including Bill!) The seminar was held at CAFC's monthly meeting at St. Stephens Church in Delmar NY.
